What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative/Graphic Designer - Omaha, NE position at Mutual of Omaha?
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Interpret business partner mockups and creative briefs and generate innovative, contemporary and effective design solutions for diverse communications that support business strategies and promotional activities. Finesse concepts "from sketch" and provide successfully well-balanced design options while ensuring brand consistency and campaign graphic integration throughout all communication materials.
- Using both conventional and digital assets, execute persuasive and informational communications efficiently by demonstrating strong graphic design skill sets including a keen eye for layout balance, typography, color and brand integrity. With each layout, illustrate sensitivity to messaging hierarchy and content readability. Additionally, keep skill sets current with media technologies and software advancements.
- Demonstrate brand sensitivity and develop a thorough understanding of Mutual of Omaha's Brand Standards in order to consistently and effectively integrate and articulate the companies brand voice and positioning in its communication materials.
- Participate and foster collaborative efforts and department creative growth by embracing and contributing to design team partnerships with enthusiasm, fresh innovative ideas and creative implementation support.
- Collaborate effectively with design peers and creative leadership through all stages of creative implementation. Develop customer relationships by understanding marketing and business partner initiatives and category/product distinctions.
ABOUT YOU:

- You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years practical design/production experience in digital and conventional mediums (i.e., collateral, direct mail, catalog, web, ecommerce, etc.).
- Strong design aesthetics (sensitivity to layout, imagery, type and brand) and proven hands-on skills using Macintosh and PC based applications (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, etc.).
- Able to visually design information, data or knowledge into a graphic representation.
- Sound judgment and strong communication, human relations and organizational skills.
- Proven ability balancing a diversified workload.

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of the Company's philosophies and products.
- Familiarity with Brand Guidelines and best practice application (i.e., use of voice and tone, brand personas, specific type styles, colors, grid systems, photographic styles and logo usage).
- Knowledge of process management software (Workfront).
