What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Graphic Designer/ Creative Lead position at Creative Circle?
Our clothing brand client is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer. This person is someone who doesn't just execute briefs, but actively shapes creative direction, brings new ideas to the table, and elevates the brand through thoughtful design and storytelling. In this role, the individual is working strategically as an ideas person and hands on execution of work.
Please note: This role will require a test project
This will be a fulltime role, with a hybrid schedule of in-office days Tuesdays and Thursdays in either the San Diego or NYC office.
- Partner with Brand, Marketing, and Product teams to shape creative direction and develop concepts for seasonal launches, campaigns, and evergreen initiatives.
- Evolve and maintain the brand's visual identity across web, email, paid media, social, packaging, and other marketing channels.
- Design high-quality, on-brand assets and refine creative based on performance data, testing insights, and customer behavior.
- Maintain strong typography, layout, and composition standards across all deliverables.
- Build and manage organized Figma files, templates, and scalable design systems; support workflow improvements with the Marketing Project Manager.
- Collaborate with agencies, photographers, content creators, and vendors by providing clear direction, feedback, and quality control.
- Contribute to photoshoot concepts, shot lists, and creative strategy.
- Use AI tools to accelerate ideation, explore visual directions, and improve efficiency; stay current on emerging creative technologies.
Requirements:
- 6 years of graphic design experience, ideally in apparel, e-commerce, or consumer brands
- Proven ability to generate concepts and contribute to creative direction as well as a strong portfolio showcasing brand systems and multi-channel design work
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma as well as highly organized file management and scalable design systems
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally and with external partners
- Ability to work quickly, iterate based on feedback and data, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity about fashion, culture, and evolving design trends
Comfort using AI tools to enhance ideation and efficiency
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
