The Development Inspector within the Engineering, Planning, and Construction Division performs field inspections of development projects to ensure compliance with the District’s approved construction standards, as well as local, state, and federal code and regulations. The Development Inspector collaborates with various stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving. This position is critical in driving project success and maintaining high quality standards.

• Project Planning and Coordination: Ensure projects are completed according to contract drawings and specifications. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all project elements align with organizational goals and standards.

Position Specifications:
This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not subject to the organization’s policies and procedures pertaining to overtime hours.
Experience:
Required:
• 3 years of progressively responsible experience in construction of water or wastewater projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Project Management Software Proficiency: Expertise in using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Blue beam, or similar tools to plan, schedule, and track project activities. This includes creating detailed project plans, allocating resources, tracking progress, and generating comprehensive reports to communicate project status to stakeholders.
