Role Description
MUSH is seeking a dynamic and open minded teammate to support our Research and Development (R&D) Team at our manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. The successful candidate has exceptional organization and prioritization skills.
General Responsibilities
- Support ongoing and emerging innovation projects
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives
- Develop methodologies for new analytical tools (e.g., moisture meter, oat-grading sieves)
- Support product improvement initiatives
- Build supplier relationships to evaluate new ingredients and technologies
- Troubleshoot production and QA-related issues
- Conduct sensory evaluations to support innovation, quality, and supplier approvals
- Manage formulations and ingredients in Genesis software to ensure accuracy, cost tracking, and efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
- B.S. Degree (Food Science or Engineering preferred)
- Strong proficiency in all MS Office/Google applications
- Problem solving, excellent verbal and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet time sensitive tasks in a fast paced environment
- Previous experience in basic and applied research and development preferably in food or beverage companies preferred.
- Strong background in food science, ingredient interaction, and process development.
