General Summary: Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Maintenance Tech II is responsible for the maintenance & upkeep of the units and the grounds at the rental property. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Provides overall maintenance of the rental property. Provide general lawn care such as mowing with a tractor, push mower, trimmer, hedger& edger. Maintains the parking area and sidewalk areas by picking up trash. Performs minor repairs and general cleaning of the buildings and grounds. Moves and installs appliances. Actively participate in workshops or meetings to continue to enhance and increase knowledge in the maintenance field. Removes& hauls debris from units when necessary. Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with program policies and HUD regulations. Maintains good public relations with tenants, citizens, visitors and other employees. Performs minor repairs of electric, plumbing& carpentry Receives written work orders and carries them out to completion. Assists Site Manager with unit inspections Communicates with and pick up supplies or tools from vendors Performs routine preventative maintenance on units& equipment Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Education: High school diploma and 2 years maintenance experience. Experience: Maintenance experience, experience using lawn care equipment power tools. Must be in good physical condition. Special skills: Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
