Maintenance Parts Clerk – Food Processing Industry
Murry’s, Inc. and Sunny Lane Foods (Divisions of the MBC Companies) manufacturers and distributors of frozen food products located in Lebanon; Pennsylvania is currently seeking a Maintenance Parts Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory, procurement, and distribution of parts and supplies for the maintenance department in a food processing facility. This role ensures timely availability of components to minimize equipment downtime and support preventive maintenance schedules.
Key Responsibilities
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of parts, tools, and supplies using CMMS or ERP systems.
• Receiving & Inspection: Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and materials according to food safety standards.
• Issuing Parts: Track and distribute parts to maintenance personnel as needed for repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Procurement: Source and order parts from approved vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Documentation: Maintain purchase orders, invoices, and inventory logs in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Cycle Counts & Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Compliance: Follow all food safety policies including SQF, GMPs, and FSMA regulations.
• Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance teams to anticipate upcoming needs and support project planning.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or inventory management training preferred.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with CMMS/ERP systems for inventory control.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment and parts.
Skills & Abilities
• Strong organizational and data entry skills.
• Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
