Location: Houston, TX – Fully On Site
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily HR operations, including employee documentation, inquiries, leave management, onboarding/offboarding, and benefits administration.
- Oversee and optimize the HRIS platform and related processes.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, with an emphasis on leadership-level roles.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior HR team members.
- Ensure compliance with internal programs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with operational leaders to support workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development.
- Collaborate with leadership on succession planning and talent development strategies.
- Support performance management processes, including coaching, feedback, and corrective actions.
- Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Provide guidance to leaders on performance, attendance, and conduct-related issues.
- Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant handling of employee concerns.
- Maintain regular presence across operational sites to support leaders and employees.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Interpret and apply company policies consistently.
- Support audits and maintain accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
- Facilitate or support training initiatives related to HR practices, leadership development, and compliance.
- Identify skill gaps and partner with leadership to implement development solutions.
- Collaborate on the enhancement of learning systems and training programs.
Requirements:
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in operational or field-based environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to influence at all levels
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
