What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Specialist position at Multisource Mfg?
POSITION PURPOSE:
The HR Specialist will balance an upbeat and energetic attitude with speed and accuracy, providing administrative and operational support as well as championing employee engagement. This position requires strong skills in areas of data integrity, communication, and partnering with colleagues at all levels in the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Assists in data entry and maintenance of HRIS and record-keeping system - supporting payroll, benefits, employee information, etc.
- Owns onboarding process, including pre-employment checks, new hire orientation and entry/maintenance into company software and systems.
- Manages resume sourcing and initial interviews for non-exempt roles company wide.
- Manages employee recognition and communication channels and initiatives.
- Calendar management, including event scheduling and logistics for executive team.
- Participates and assists in planning of organizational committees, events, visits.
- Supports training and development programs, working closely with supervisors and executive team to ensure smooth events.
- Assists with mandatory reporting requirements.
- Organizes quarterly and annual performance review sessions
- Maintains organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
- Processes and directs employees’ queries in a timely manner
- Stays up-to-date and complies with changes in labor legislation
- All other duties and projects assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS); preferably with ADP Workforce Now or similar.
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
- General understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR support.
- Two or more years of experience in an administrative role.
- Proven ability to deal effectively with confidential and sensitive information.
SKILLS ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building trust and rapport quickly.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Mobility around an office environment.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Professional verbal and written communication in English.
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
