Sidney Health Center is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with OB training for a 13-week contract assignment in Eastern Montana. This full-time role is ideal for a compassionate and skilled imaging professional who is confident working independently while delivering exceptional patient care.
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures utilizing independent judgment, technical expertise, and attention to detail in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations including:
- General abdominal imaging
- OB/GYN studies
- Small parts imaging
- Ensure accurate patient identification and review physician orders prior to procedures
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and completeness
- Maintain accurate patient documentation within the EMR system
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare staff regarding patient care and imaging results
- Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining safety and comfort standards
- Participate in rotating call coverage schedules, including:
- Approximately one weekday call rotation per week
- One weekend call rotation per month
- Holiday call coverage, including the Fourth of July
- Minimum of 2 years of Ultrasound experience preferred
- ARDMS (AB) certification required
- ARDMS (OB) certification required
- Current BLS Certification required
- OB training and experience required
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
