About the Position
MSL Corporate Services is seeking an experienced and dependable Beach Cleaning Supervisor to oversee our beach maintenance operations throughout Rhode Island. This leadership role is responsible for supervising field staff, ensuring all assigned beach areas are cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining safety compliance, and serving as the primary point of contact between the cleaning crew and management.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of leading a team in an outdoor work environment while maintaining excellent communication and quality control.
Work Schedule
- Work must be performed between 6:00 PM and 8:30 AM.
- Employees may complete the assigned cleaning duties at any time within this time window.
- A detailed work schedule and assigned beach locations will be provided by management.
- Weekend and holiday work may be required based on operational needs and weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily beach cleaning operations.
- Lead, motivate, and support cleaning staff.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently.
- Inspect work areas before, during, and after cleaning.
- Ensure all contract requirements and quality standards are met.
- Train new employees on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor employee attendance and performance.
- Report incidents, safety concerns, damaged equipment, or unusual findings.
- Coordinate with management regarding staffing and operational needs.
- Ensure all employees wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Complete daily reports and documentation as required.
- Communicate professionally with management and clients when necessary.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in cleaning, maintenance, landscaping, facilities management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- English / Spanish..
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to walk long distances on sand and uneven terrain.
Preferred
- Experience supervising outdoor maintenance crews.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- OSHA or safety training is a plus.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
