MSI Healthcare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the Nursing Department at one of our long-term care facilities in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Director of Nursing will oversee day-to-day nursing operations, ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, and guide both licensed and unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering exceptional care. The ideal candidate will bring vision, leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement within a supportive healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate all nursing services to ensure consistent, high-quality resident care.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to nursing staff across all levels.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes and satisfaction.
- Monitor quality assurance initiatives and survey readiness.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for nursing operations.
- Promote a positive, resident-centered culture within the facility.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma (required).
- Strong leadership and management experience in a skilled or long-term care setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with EMR systems preferred.
- Demonstrated history of successful state surveys.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ICD-10 coding a plus.
