Position Overview
As a Shock Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of vehicle suspension systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and technical expertise are paramount.
The Shock Assembly Technician reports to the Shock Floor Supervisor. The position requires a full-time work week spent in the shop/office in Mooresville, NC. Production hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm. (Must be flexible to work additional hours as needed based on project requirements and deadlines).
Key Responsibilities
As a Shock Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of vehicle suspension systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and technical expertise are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
- Assembly of Shock absorbers and other sub-components
- Shock dynamometer work
- Shop Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, including tool management
- Other tasks as directed by the Shock Assembly Supervisor
- Ability to operate Roehrig software to dyno test shocks.
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings along with shock force graphs to determine the required valving.
- Engrave designs, text, or other markings onto materials, workpieces, or products
- Lazer etching
- High School Diploma/GED required, associate or bachelor's degree a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in basic mechanical assembly, shock absorbers and their related internal and external components.
- 3-5 years of experience in the use of various thread lockers, safety wire, the use of torque wrenches and appropriate torque specifications.
- Knowledge in the ability to valve a shock absorber and produce the proper force/velocity curves that are requested by the Customer and or Management.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate problems and issues to the appropriate level of management to resolve issues
- Strong organizational skills: attention to detail is a must
- Accuracy in work assignments and a strong work ethic as a part of a team.
- Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Ability to obtain security clearance if deemed necessary for position.
- Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching, routinely lifting, and carrying parts and equipment up to 50 pounds.
