Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assembling mattress cooling products and related components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will follow established procedures, maintain high quality standards, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Assembly
- Assemble components and products using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate builds.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all products meet specifications before moving to the next stage.
Process Execution
- Maintain organized workflow and meet production targets and deadlines.
- Identify and communicate any defects, inconsistencies, or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist in implementing improvements to assembly processes for increased efficiency.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and production leadership.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional activities.
- Provide feedback to improve processes, tools, and work instructions.
Training & Supervision
- Assist in training new team members on assembly techniques and safety procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation of completed tasks and quality checks.
Safety & Maintenance
- Comply with all workplace safety protocols and use PPE as required.
- Keep the workstation clean and organized.
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in product assembly or manufacturing preferred.
- Basic understanding of hand tools, measuring devices, and production equipment.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production needs.
