What You'll Do
- Conduct on-site subsurface investigations using multiple detection technologies, capturing findings digitally through integrated field software and GPS tools
- Deliver accurate mark-outs, reports, and on-site solutions that meet strict quality and safety standards
- Engage directly with clients before, during, and after service delivery to ensure accurate data capture and a smooth client experience
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through site visits, networking, and market outreach
- Partner with regional business development and account teams to support cross-selling into related service lines
- Prepare custom quotes, proposals, and pricing, guiding clients through a consultative sales process as a trusted technical resource
- Coordinate scheduling and delivery with local operations teams
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and opportunities in the CRM
- Represent the company at industry events, safety meetings, and project kickoffs as needed
- Champion a strong safety-first mindset in every client interaction
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Technical certification in ground-scanning technology or a related field preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 2 years of relevant field experience, ideally in scanning, mapping, or utility locating, with verifiable references
- Prior sales or customer-facing experience in a technical or industrial services environment is a strong plus
- Hands-on experience with underground utility location and mapping investigations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with basic sales aptitude and comfort following up with clients
- A safety-oriented mindset and sharp situational awareness
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable producing clear technical reports and job site documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus
- Willingness to travel locally between job sites and work in varied outdoor environments
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs, carry field equipment, and stand, walk, or crouch for extended periods
Candidates must be able to pass a post-offer background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug/alcohol screening.
