As the Bid Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in the success of our construction projects by managing and submitting accurate, competitive bids that align with project requirements and company standards. What You'll Do
- Bid Preparation & Submission: Review project specifications, blueprints, and documentation to determine key requirements.
- Coordinate and prepare detailed, competitive bids, ensuring submission within deadlines.
- Organize pre-bid meetings and address any questions or concerns from project managers and clients.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Collect 3 quotes per trade for each bid to guarantee fair pricing.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to stay updated on pricing and availability.
- Document Management: Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of all bid-related documents, correspondence, and project details.
- Communicate any updates or changes to stakeholders, ensuring all are aligned during the bid process.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and engineers to ensure alignment on project scope and requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication throughout the bidding phase.
- Market & Cost Analysis: Research market trends, material costs, and labor rates to provide accurate cost estimates for bids.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and budgets to ensure the accuracy of each bid.
- Compliance: Ensure all bid submissions comply with local laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Verify that necessary permits, licenses, and certifications are included in the bid proposals.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in bid management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
