Landscape Construction Laborer
Position Summary
MSC Construction is seeking a hardworking, dependable Landscape Construction Laborer to join our installation team. This position works alongside experienced crew members to build high-quality outdoor spaces including hardscapes, retaining walls, drainage systems, irrigation, sod, landscape lighting, planting, fencing, and other landscape construction projects.
This is a physically demanding position that requires a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train motivated individuals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces.
- Install plants, mulch, sod, trees, and landscape materials.
- Assist with drainage, irrigation, and landscape lighting installations.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Dig trenches, grade soil, spread gravel, and prepare job sites.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow instructions from Crew Leaders and Foremen.
- Represent MSC Construction professionally on every job site.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Dependable transportation to and from work.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction.
- Landscape or construction experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials.
- Stand, kneel, bend, climb, and walk for extended periods.
- Work safely around construction equipment and machinery.
