Commercial Audio-Visual Systems Designer

We are looking for a Commercial AV Systems Designer to join our growing Audio-Visual team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing innovative, high-performance AV systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Design commercial AV systems for conference rooms, collaboration spaces, command centers, training environments, auditoriums and more
• Develop system layouts, signal flow diagrams, rack designs, and equipment specifications
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field teams to bring designs to life
• Ensure systems are cost-effective, scalable, and aligned with client needs
• Support installation and commissioning efforts as needed
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Three to seven years of experience designing commercial AV systems
• Strong understanding of AV technologies (audio, video, control systems, conferencing)
• Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, D-Tools, or Visio
• Ability to interpret drawings and integrate with IT/network infrastructure
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
  
  

Required Skills

• Independently designs standard commercial AV systems
• Produces full design documentation packages
• Interfaces with clients and project managers regarding system requirements
• Supports installation team during implementation
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• AVIXA CTS or CTS-D certification
• Experience with platforms like Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, or Biamp
• Networking knowledge (CompTIA Network , CCNA)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in field conditions including standing, bending, and climbing ladders as needed.
