Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Schedule: 3rd Shift, Sunday through Thursday, typically 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM, with flexibility up to 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Job Summary
MS Companies is supporting a manufacturing client in Spartanburg, SC in the search for a Senior Quality Engineer on 3rd shift. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the plant floor, solving quality issues, and driving process improvements that make a real impact. We’re looking for someone with strong manufacturing quality experience who can lead root cause efforts, support corrective actions, and work well across production, engineering, and quality teams. Automotive experience is a plus.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 5 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing
• Manufacturing experience required; automotive preferred
• Experience with 8D, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Strong understanding of process improvement and quality tools
• Ability to read technical drawings, dimensions, and GD&T
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience with Six Sigma, DMAIC, MSA, and capability studies
• Experience leading RCCA efforts and reducing repeat defects
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Prior mentoring or leadership experience is a plus
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Lead quality and process improvement efforts on the plant floor
• Investigate issues and drive root cause and corrective actions
• Support process improvements to reduce variation and improve performance
• Maintain control plans and quality documentation
• Partner with operations, engineering, and quality teams to improve results
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment and will involve regular time on the plant floor. Candidates should be comfortable working 3rd shift in a fast-paced setting with occasional overtime as needed.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
