About the Role
At Mr. Rooter Plumbing, we don’t just fix pipes—we solve problems from start to finish. As a Plumber’s Helper / General Laborer, you’ll play a critical role supporting our underground and excavation team, helping deliver complete plumbing solutions to our customers.
This is a hands-on, physical position for someone who takes pride in hard work, shows up every day ready to go, and wants to build a long-term career in the trades.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with excavation and underground plumbing projects
- Operate basic tools and equipment (shovels, compactors, etc.)
- Dig, backfill, and support trenching operations
- Load/unload materials and maintain job site organization
- Support pipe repairs, sewer replacements, and trenchless prep work
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
- Work alongside experienced plumbers and technicians to learn the trade
What We’re Looking For
- Strong work ethic—you show up and get it done
- Comfortable with physical labor in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Dependable and punctual (this is non-negotiable)
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Valid driver’s license preferred
