General Beverage Sales Co. (GB) is a business-to-business wholesale distributor of wine, distilled spirits, beer, soda, bottled water and non-alcoholic beverages. Established in 1933, GB has been family-owned ever since. We currently operate in all of Wisconsin’s 72 counties as consultants to over 11,000 licensed retail business customers helping them to profitably select, promote, merchandise, and sell consumer products in the beverage category. The Driver Helper assists with the delivery of GB products to assigned accounts. They may also be responsible for rotating and merchandising products. Delivery Driver Helpers are encouraged to take advantage of on-the-job training to obtain a CLD license. Once obtain CDL starting wage is $24/hr.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Friendly and professional communication skills with ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, conveying issues proactively
• Dependable worker, arriving on time and ready to work
• Solid attention to detail to ensure assignments are completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner while maintaining all safety standards
• Strong willingness to learn, develop and grow skill set
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to best-in-class service
• Acts with honesty and transparency and treats others with respect, dignity and fairness
• Builds rapport with colleagues and retailers, and is welcoming to all
• Able to reach, twist and bend, and get in and out of truck repeatedly throughout the day
• Able to lift up to 175 lbs. multiple times a day
• Can operate a 2-wheel hand cart on stairs and operate power assisted cart equipment
• Can read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide at high school equivalency level
• Proficient using a computer or tablet and able to learn job specific programs
• Must have a valid Driver’s license
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and lift test
  
  

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Unload products at all customer locations by use of a hand truck or by hand. Follow all check-in procedures at each customer's location.
• Stock all shelves, coolers, and storage rooms as needed.
• Rotate all products.
• Build and merchandise product displays.
• Safeguard and account for company invoices, cash, checks, or other forms of payment and other company property under your control.
• Complete all required internal control records, forms, invoices, and reports properly and accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
