What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. UX Designer position at Mr. Cooper and Careers?
The Senior UX Designer will be responsible for developing best-in-class consumer experiences (user interface designs, interaction models, prototypes, etc.) in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment.
This position will report directly to VP Product Development and work closely with engineering, product/program management, marketing and site merchandising, and company leaders to successfully go from early-stage product concepts to launch. This position will need to be a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs and requirements into customer-focused solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop a deep working knowledge of Xome's products, customers and use cases
- Champion intuitive, simple user experiences with our web-based services and mobile applications
- Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interface specifications, and final design assets
- Articulate the details of design patterns so they can be consistently implemented and scaled to future projects
- Validate designs and get customer feedback
- Drive the development and communication of design guidelines, patterns, and libraries
- Build strong internal relationships with experienced engineering, product management and sales teams to produce optimal design/implementation solutions
- Measure and analyze customer and feature usage. Identify opportunities to innovate and improve customer experience
- Other tasks as assigned
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Expert skill level in the standard tools of the UX trade, e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, and HTML/CSS, prototyping tools like InDesign, and usability testing like UserTesting.com.
- Must have a strong UX & Design portfolio that demonstrates past design projects.
- Strong user experience skill set including; information architecture, visual design and prototyping
- Must have an informed point of view regarding user experience, technology, and business communication and the ability to present solutions
- Demonstrated experience with the design of B2B and B2C web-based and mobile applications
- Solid experience planning, implementing, and reporting on user research and usability testing
- 6 years professional experience as an interaction designer / user experience designer; expertise in both information architecture and visual design
- Real estate industry related experience a plus
