Position Summary:
This is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with various aspects of inventory management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with departmental goals. This role provides the flexibility to work on special projects and includes tasks outlined in the Receiving Department Expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
2. Returns Process
- Count and match returned parts to their respective PO numbers and vendors.
- Document reasons for returns clearly and summarize issues for the appropriate buyer.
- Act as the first point of contact for production, inspection, and engineering teams regarding purchased part discrepancies.
3. Bin Size & Location Management
- Adjust bin sizes and update part locations in the EK system as needed to reflect current material flow and consumption rates.
4. Overstock Management
- Maintain physical and system-level control of overstock items.
- Toggle overstock parts in EK, label accordingly, and ensure proper identification and tracking.
5. Bins Audit & INSP Schedule Coordination
- Conduct periodic bin audits to ensure alignment with physical inventory.
- Coordinate with inspection teams to track and verify inbound materials based on the inspection schedule.
Secondary Support Responsibilities (R – Responsible if the primary receiver is out):
1. Systematic Receiving
- Ensure accurate counts and part identification prior to systematic receiving.
- Support processing of material within 1.5 business days from dock arrival.
2. Buyer Communication & Hot Parts Escalation
- Notify buyers via scanner of any partial PO receipts.
- Work closely with buyers to expedite high-priority parts to production cells.
3. EOM Cycle Counts
- Support end-of-month cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile discrepancies and communicate findings appropriately.
4. Indirect & Bench Receiving
- Receive and process indirect and bench parts in the system.
- Track inventory of internally requested supplies and notify buyers of any potential shortages.
General Expectations (Shared Responsibility):
- Maintain proactive and clear communication with buyers and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
- Provide scanner training to production cell personnel as needed to support system usage and Kanban compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.

- 1–2 years experience in a materials or inventory coordination role preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
