Movement Search and Delivery is working with a global manufacturer to identify and evaluate a Quality Engineer
About the Role: Lead and facilitate global and site quality initiatives that raise the standard and keep improvement moving. You will own day-to-day site quality engineering, including material disposition, concern management, APQP/FMEA/PPAP, and metrology. This role is the technical quality link between the customer and manufacturing. You will coach the team, analyze data, and turn problems into lasting process improvement.
What You Will Do:
- Identify and solve quality issues; own customer concern and corrective action processes
- Serve as the technical quality liaison between customers and site manufacturing
- Lead document control, electronic data collection systems, and the Global Quality System
- Manage layered, internal, external, and third-party audit programs
- Facilitate APQP, control plans, PPAP, process sign-off, and customer-specific requirements
- Operate and program metrology equipment including the CMM; coach and develop the quality team
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 2 years of Quality Engineering experience (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, LPA)
- Strong problem-solving skills using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and similar methods
- Experience leading document control, quality systems, and audit programs
- Ability to operate and program gages and CMM equipment in a quality/metrology lab
