What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Movement Search & Delivery?
What you’ll do
- Contain customer, internal, and supplier issues and drive permanent corrective action
- Investigate rejects, nonconformances, warranty, and high-mileage returns
- Own APQP/PPAP deliverables: PFMEA, process flow, control plan, capability studies, Gauge R&R, dimensional/CMM review, and sample packages
- Review GD&T, significant characteristics, and key product characteristics with the customer and lock them into fixtures, procedures, and plant systems
- Support new program launch and customer assembly-plant liaison
- Review/approve supplier PPAPs, monitor supplier performance, and push timely improvement
- Analyze SPC data and help raise process capability
- Build and deliver quality training for new programs
- Support internal audits and related lab activity as assigned
What you need
- 3–5 years in quality in automotive / manufacturing
- Solid APQP, PPAP, and quality-system experience
- GD&T plus customer-specific / SC / KPC requirements
- CQE body of knowledge (certification preferred)
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role. If you can close problems on the floor and get a clean PPAP submitted, send a resume plus a short note on your launch and customer-issue experience.
