What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Movement Search & Delivery?
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining APQP documentation including Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards, and internal quality systems
- Lead customer concern investigations, containment activities, and 8D problem-solving processes
- Drive corrective and preventive actions using Quality and Six Sigma methodologies
- Support quality improvement initiatives, policy deployment goals, and continuous improvement activities
- Utilize core quality tools including SPC, MSA, capability analysis, PPAP, and root cause analysis
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing teams to improve process performance and product quality
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide support as needed, including occasional travel
- Promote safety, 5S, and operational excellence initiatives throughout the facility
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Degree required
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
- Experience within manufacturing and automotive quality environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and problem-solving methodologies
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through structured root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Minitab
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Salary : $80,000 - $105,000
