What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at Movement Search & Delivery?
Summary
Coordinates with Product Engineering to ensure all products are traceable with corresponding data. Leads part processing development following a standardized approach. Evaluates & improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, material, manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality control standards. Assist the Engineering & Manufacturing departments, when required, on new program launches.
Responsibilities
- Utilize innovative techniques for design and improving processes
- Participate in 5S
- Participate in kaizen teams
- Improve changeover techniques
- Improve “First Part” approvals
- Reduce required operations
- Assignment of 1 or 2 manufacturing lines
- Meet CPP, TRS, & Scrap targets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
- 10 years of operations/process engineering experience in machining
- Robot experience is desirable
- Experience in grinding, balancing, and drilling operations
- PC applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Solid Works / AutoCAD drawing software
- Dimensional Tolerancing, GD&T
- Manufacturing tooling design
- Lean Manufacturing
- Basic understanding of automation and related components
