Are you ready to lead engineering operations at the forefront of beverage manufacturing? We’re seeking a Head of Engineering Operations to drive operational excellence, oversee facility projects, and ensure seamless collaboration across teams in a high-growth aseptic beverage environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Engineering team in planning, developing, and implementing systems and processes that optimize performance and reduce downtime.
- Oversee capital projects, renovations, and facility expansions, ensuring cost-effective execution and minimal production disruption.
- Partner with Maintenance, EH&S, Process, Controls, and Reliability Engineering to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Manage budgets (CapEx, training, consulting) and ensure effective resource allocation.
- Guide new equipment contracts, design specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Oversee the CMMS system to track maintenance and engineering activities.
- Collaborate with Production to plan downtime windows, coordinate shutdowns, and integrate technical work.
- Drive continuous improvement through process mapping, root-cause problem solving, and adoption of new technologies.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with SQF, Food Safety Standards, GMPs, and FDA/PMO requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical); MBA preferred.
- 10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, including 5–7 years leading capital projects and budgets.
- Strong knowledge of FDA, GMP, and PMO design requirements; aseptic beverage or low-acid packaging experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, ERP/CRM systems, and MES systems.
- Demonstrated success in facility/line improvements, scheduling around production downtimes, and driving efficiency through continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
