Job Summary
The HR Generalist will act as the primary point of contact for employees on HR-related matters and support day-to-day HR operations. This role is responsible for managing onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, employee engagement, and exit processes. The HR Generalist collaborates with Corporate HR, Payroll, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth HR processes and a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Preboarding
• Manage the preboarding process prior to new hires joining the organization.
• Monitor background verification reports to ensure completion before onboarding.
• Conduct onboarding induction sessions for all new hires.
• Prepare SAP sheets for employee ID creation and email address setup.
• Share new hire documentation with Payroll, including offer letters and direct deposit information.
• Follow up with new hires after onboarding to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
Employee Queries & HR Support
• Act as the first level point of contact for all employee HR-related queries.
• Respond to daily HR emails and employee queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Approve onboarding documentation in the Clear Co portal.
• Assist Operations teams with HR-related concerns while ensuring compliance with HR policies.
• Provide daily updates to the Corporate HR team regarding requisition details.
Employee Relations
• Address employee grievances through internal investigations and prepare detailed reports for the US HR Head.
• Assist Operations teams with employee disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Coordinate with the Immigration team to provide US visa invitation letters and supporting documentation.
Policies & Compliance
• Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation.
• Support internal and external HR audits by compiling and providing required documentation.
• Ensure HR data accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Update HR policies and procedures as directed by the US HR Head.
Exit Management
• Manage involuntary exit processes in coordination with the Operations team.
• Prepare exit documentation and communicate exit details with Payroll.
• Terminate employee system access and credentials in Timetrex, ESEP, and Paychex.
Employee Engagement
• Plan and organize monthly employee engagement and fun activities.
• Implement initiatives to promote employee motivation, engagement, and workplace culture.
• Encourage employee participation in company initiatives that reinforce organizational values.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in HR Operations or HR Generalist roles preferred.
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint would be required.
