Elementary Interventionist Paraprofessional (K-4)
Mountainburg Public Schools is seeking applicants for an Elementary Interventionist Paraprofessional to serve students in grades K-4. Join the Dragon Team to work in a collaborative role within our professional learning community as we ensure high levels of learning for all students.
The successful candidate will assist teachers and intervention staff in providing academic support to students through small-group and individual instruction, supervision, tutoring, and other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities
- Reinforce lessons by reviewing material one-on-one and in small groups with students
- Assist students who need additional help learning specific academic concepts
- Support intervention efforts in literacy and mathematics
- Help teachers maintain records for grading and attendance
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom equipment for teachers
- Assist with supervision of students during lunch, recess, transitions, and school activities
- Provide student assistance and tutoring support as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
- Perform duty supervision and other responsibilities assigned by administration
Qualifications
Applicants must meet Arkansas paraprofessional requirements by one of the following:
- Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education (60 semester credit hours at a regionally accredited institution), OR
- Obtaining an associate’s degree or higher, OR
- Presenting a passing score on the ETS ParaPro Assessment
Requirements: Appropriate level license/endorsements and successful completion of all background checks.
Position Details
- Full-Time Position
- 181 day contract
- 7.5-hour daily contract
