Technical and Personal Qualifications:
- Valid Arkansas Educator Certification and Licensure
- Clear a Background Check through the Arkansas Department of Education state and federal criminal records checks
- Clear a Central Registry Check through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry system, a division of the Arkansas Department of Human Services
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: Starting salary for Bachelor’s degree is $50,000. The annual salary is divided into 12 installments, so you receive a steady income over the contract year. Additional compensation is available for additional duties including activity sponsorship, coaching, tutoring, or advanced degrees. See salary schedule.

- Leave: Sick leave is given at a rate of one day per month, with 10 days for a 190 contract, plus 2 days of personal leave. Personal leave may accumulate up to five days which then rolls over to sick leave. A sick leave donation bank is available.
