Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems using hand tools, ohmmeters, and specialized diagnostic tools to identify electrical faults or mechanical failures.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations.
- Conduct routine system maintenance to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan; include cleaning filters, inspecting mechanical components, and calibrating controls.
- Use welding techniques and plumbing skills for system repairs or modifications as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly about repairs or system upgrades and ensuring client satisfaction during field service visits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation.
- Service technician experience working with HVAC/R equipment in commercial or residential settings.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration systems, boilers, air conditioning units, building automation systems, electrical systems, and plumbing.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools essential for troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus; valid EPA certification is required for handling refrigerants.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating
drivers preferred. - Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols; field service experience is highly valued.
