Title: Resident Care Coordinator
The Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) directly supervises the Caregiving department that serves residents in the personal care (PC) and/or memory care (MC) neighborhoods in accordance with federal laws, state laws, and Companyd policies and procedures. This role champions the customer service experience and the Company’s mission to put “Residents First in Everything We Do.”

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the caregiver team, which includes tasks such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, vacation requests and approvals, payroll entries and processing, managing engagement, promotions, and separations.
- Ensure the caregiving department is performing in accordance with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to comply with state and/or company policy requirements.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to policies and procedures that govern team member activities.
- Administer resident assessments.
- Ensure individualized resident service plans and service records are current.
- Provide updates and maintain clear and concise documentation.
- Participate in regular meetings with the care team and lead team in resident care conference meetings.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director alongside clinical leadership to ensure resident care initiatives are coordinated and monitored.
- Maintain a positive and team-focused approach that cultivates an effective and engaging work environment.
- Work closely with residents and their families to address concerns, requests, and potential disasters.
- Perform routine quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Implement appropriate training for caregivers as needed.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for caregivers, to include teaching behind leadership and management.
- Assist with the budget process and financial planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and resident rights, and all New Perspective policies.
- Immediately intervene to address suspected or alleged verbal, physical, sexual abuse or theft of resident property and immediately report such incidents, as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current MedTech certification.
- LPN or RN preferred.
- Prior experience working with older adults in senior living, long-term care, home health, or other healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment with effective communication and interpersonal skills and build a team up.
- Empathy for the challenges experienced by residents, families and team members and the problem-solving skills to support them.
- Computer skills and ability to interact with various electronic devices including proficiency with Google workspace suite and all Microsoft products.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this role, the individual:
- Must be able to communicate effectively to provide care and assistance to residents with cognitive, physical, or sensory disabilities.
- May be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
- May occasionally lift or move items up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- May be exposed to various medical conditions and environments typically associated with senior care.
- May require bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing stairs, reaching above shoulder height.
