TITLE: Secretary, Summer School
CLASSIFICATION: Operational Support Staff Level 4
PAY RANGE 11: $18.24 - $19.34 hourly (based on education and experience ) or current rate if at this pay range.
LOCATION(S): Mount Tabor Elementary School
REPORTS TO: Summer School Administrator on Duty
SUMMER SCHOOL: June 3rd through June 19th, 2026
SUMMER HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers and responds to staff and parent requests via e-mail, voice mail, and phone calls. Routes calls and/or conveys messages as needed.
- Types and handles various types of correspondence and paperwork including letters, memoranda, invoices, purchase orders, reports, etc.
- Meets and interacts daily with staff, students, parents and general public on school related/student matters.
- Responds to staff and parent requests via e-mail, voice mail, and phone calls. Routes calls and/or conveys messages as needed.
- Organizes and maintains office filing systems, files correspondence and other records.
- Coordinates and arranges meetings, distributes agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records minutes of meetings.
- Manages administrators communications and correspondence including the weekly newsletter, staff notes, and electronic bulletin board.
- Administers first aid and assists students in the health clinic under the direction of the school nurse and follows related policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Principal and/or other designee.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
Salary : $18 - $19
