Bartender

Position Summary 

The Bartender thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and delivers exceptional service to guests looking to relax and warm up after a day on the slopes. This role requires strong multitasking skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.    

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes  

• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner  

• Maintain knowledge of seasonal cocktails, local craft beers, and wine selections  

• Process payments accurately using POS systems  

• Check identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws  

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area  

• Restock supplies, glassware, and garnishes as needed  

• Assist with opening and closing duties  

• Work collaboratively with Mountain Room Crew, Cooks, and Mountain Leadership  

• Handle high-volume service during peak ski hours and special events  

• Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period 

• Complete required training as assigned by mountain leadership  

• Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership  

Qualifications 

• Must be 18 years or older   

• Previous bartending experience preferred  

• Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine  

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays  

• Maintain unexpired TIPS certification  

• Strong communication and customer service skills  

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-energy environment  

• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays 

• Must be eligible to work in the United States 

• Successful completion of background check  

Work Environment & Physical Requirements 

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time   

• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks  

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs  

Compensation & Benefits 

• Compensation: $17.50/hour 

• Benefits: Complimentary ski/ride access for the duration of employment and employee discounts on food and beverages at participating locations (subject to mountain policy)
