Bag Check Attendant

Position Summary 

The Bag Check Attendant provides secure, friendly, and efficient storage services for the guests’ personal belongings while delivering exceptional guest service. This role helps ensure a positive guest experience by maintaining an organized bag check area and safeguarding guests’ items throughout the day. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner  

• Receive, tag, store, and retrieve guests’ bags, backpacks, and personal items accurately 

• Maintain an organized and secure bag storage area 

• Verify claim tickets before releasing stored items 

• Answer guest questions and provide information about mountain facilities and services 

• Monitor the bag check area to ensure the safety and security of store belongings 

• Report lost, damaged, or suspicious items according to mountain procedures 

• Follow all cash handling procedures 

• Complete required training as assigned by mountain leadership 

• Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period 

• Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership 

Qualifications 

• Strong communication and customer service skills 

• Reliable transportation and regular attendance  

• Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment  

• Ability to work independently and autonomously 

• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays  

• Must be eligible to work in the United States 

• Successful completion of background check  

Work Environment & Physical Requirements 

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive physical tasks  

• Ability to work in an indoor location subject to temperature fluctuations, drafts, and intermittent exposure to outdoor weather conditions due to frequent operation of exterior doors 

• Ability to work in busy, sometimes noisy environment  

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs  

Compensation & Benefits 

• Compensation: $17.50/hour 

• Benefits: Complimentary ski/ride access for the duration of employment and employee discounts on food and beverages at participating locations (subject to mountain policy) 

Salary : $18
