If you're passionate about helping students succeed both academically and emotionally, we want to hear from you.Retired public-school teachers are encouraged to apply this role will not affect your retirement benefits!About the RoleAs a Certified Classroom Teacher, youll lead a small classroom of residential students, delivering engaging, standards-based instruction while supporting their behavioral and emotional growth.Youll collaborate closely with our academic and clinical teams to create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.What Youll DoPlan and deliver daily lessons in your subject areaCreate assignments, tests, and learning activitiesTrack and assess student progressSupport and implement IEP goalsMaintain documentation (lesson plans, grades, reports)Manage classroom behavior using supportive interventionsSupervise and guide teaching assistantsParticipate in team meetings, training, and curriculum developmentAbout Mount Prospect AcademyFounded in 1964, MPA is a growing nonprofit organization providing education and mental health services to youth who need specialized support.
