Long Term Substitute - Special Ed Teacher at Mt. Holly Elementary

Two Rivers Supervisory Union is looking for a long term substitute Special Educator to work with students at Mount Holly Elementary School. This educator will provide IEP development, direct instruction, case management, as well as consultation to staff and families for students who have been identified with a variety of disabilities. Candidates must demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to supervise para-educators. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated service providers that includes other Special Educators, a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech Language Pathologist. The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to contribute positively to a school climate, show unconditional respect for students and their families and think creatively about how to best support students with their unique needs. Preferred Qualifications: Current Vermont teacher license with an endorsement in Special Education Knowledge of Common Core and the Vermont Framework Willing to provide some services through co-teaching with general education staff Demonstrate an understanding of best practices in teaching and learning and diagnostic assessment.
