Our client, one of the world's largest investment companies, is actively looking for a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join their IT Sourcing team in Malvern, PA! The role is onsite hybrid 3 days a week so local candidates are required.
***This is a 6 month initial contract with the opportunity to extend or convert***
Responsibilities
- Owns pipeline of medium complexity IT sourcing engagements over $250k for assigned category.
- Supports Category Leads on high complexity engagements and assists them with requisition and purchase order creation from time to time.
- Performs rapid sourcing activities by ensuring the application of fair business practices and consistent procurement of products and services at the best execution and best price.
- Establishes effective negotiation plans and guides internal clients through contracting process.
- Shepherds engagements through the defined sourcing triage process, resolving issues and involving stakeholders as needed.
- Interfaces heavily with other Sourcing Operations teams (RFx, Contracting), business owners, and legal & risk partners as needed for each transaction.
- Ensures proper closure of transaction including: Successful handoff to Purchasing and Payables associates; Validation that supplier will comply with agreed-upon payment terms; Contracting team receives documents in good order for catalogue and storage.
- Partners with Category Leads to establish sourcing execution plans through but not limited to competitive bids, evaluation agreements, supplier consolidation and co-terming.
- Effectively partners with other Category Teams, Supplier Management, Vendor Management Offices, Internal Clients, and TPRM as needed.
- Engages with business requestor to identify requirements and formulate them into specific competitive bid documentation.
- Ownership of end-to-end competitive bidding process.
- Ensures the application of fair business practices of procuring Goods/Services.
- Continually examines ways to raise standards and improve process and procedures while improving the overall performance of ESM.
Required Skills & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience within strategic sourcing, procurement, or purchasing with contract negotiation experience.
- Experience managing a strategic book of business which includes engagement types, including (but not limited to), RFx, SOW’s, HSO’s, renewals and new deals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary : $50 - $55
