Information System Security Engineer

A small cybersecurity firm is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to help build and secure Azure based infrastructure and applications. This is a hands on role focused on cloud security, networking, and automation across modern engineering environments.

Location: Hybrid Washington DC

Responsibilities

• Secure Azure environments including VNets, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing
• Build infrastructure using Terraform
• Implement security across Kubernetes and containerized workloads
• Integrate security into CI CD pipelines
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments
• Partner with engineering teams on secure architecture
  
  

Requirements

• 5 years in DevSecOps, Cloud Security, or Security Engineering
• Strong Azure and cloud networking experience
• Hands on Terraform experience
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Solid networking fundamentals such as TCP IP and firewalls
• Familiarity with NIST or FedRAMP

• Zero Trust experience
• Azure security tooling
