As a Technical Project Manager, you'll oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT projects including AV systems, networking equipment, and structured cabling deployments for dynamic office build-outs and expansions. 12 month contract on W2 with the potential to extend or convert, eligible for full benefits. 100% onsite required in Mountain View, CA. Local candidates only.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure projects for new offices and expansions.
- Coordinate deployment of AV systems, networking equipment, and structured cabling with internal teams and external vendors.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and status reports.
- Oversee site surveys, installations, and system testing to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
- Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration between IT, Facilities, Construction, and external partners.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and potential challenges to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure that all solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in technical project management, with a strong track record in IT infrastructure deployment (AV systems, networking, structured cabling).
- Solid understanding of network architecture, AV technology, and office IT construction processes.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Experience coordinating office builds or expansions is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Cisco, AVIXA CTS) are a plus.
