Description:
As an IT Project Manager for Robotics, you will play a key role in the development of next-generation surgical robotics systems. This position combines technical expertise with strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be responsible for analyzing complex information, driving process automation, and improving operational efficiency, data management, and overall business productivity. The role offers high autonomy, involvement in cutting-edge robotics programs, and the opportunity to influence decision-making within a balanced and innovative team culture.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to assess current systems and identify inefficiencies or pain points.
- Simplify, harmonize, and optimize Jira workspaces for a large user base (600 users).
- Research, evaluate, and recommend Portfolio Management tools to provide executive-level visibility into project status and resource allocation.
- Configure and develop dashboards integrating Jira, Airtable, Microsoft Project, and other tools.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to replace manual processes.
- Gather stakeholder input, translate requirements into actionable solutions, validate with stakeholders, and oversee implementation.
- Support ongoing system improvements for engineering and scientific teams working on surgical robotics programs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4 years of experience designing and implementing automated software workflows and process es.
- Advanced proficiency in Jira, including integrations and workspace optimization.
- Experience with database deployment and configuration.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions.
- Flexibility to work remotely within the US Pacific Time zone.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to company headquarters as needed (Quarterly onsite meetings)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience automating workflows in regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, or automotive.
- Strong background in building and integrating dashboards across multiple platforms (Jira, Airtable, Microsoft Project).
- Experience evaluating and integrating Portfolio Management tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with selecting and configuring tools to adapt existing products to business needs.
- Exposure to robotics, hardware, or advanced technology environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
