What You’ll Do

• Provide excellent chairside support using four-handed dentistry
• Prepare instruments, materials, anesthetic setups, and equipment
• Set up and break down operatories based on the day’s procedures
• Assist with restorative, crown and bridge, cosmetic, implant, surgical, and specialty treatment
• Take diagnostic radiographs in accordance with state requirements
• Support intraoral scanning, imaging, and digital workflows
• Assist with impressions, temporaries, lab cases, and clinical materials
• Maintain accurate chart notes and treatment documentation
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, sterilization, infection-control, and patient-safety standards
• Keep treatment rooms clean, stocked, organized, and ready—because searching for supplies during a procedure is no one’s favorite activity
• Review the schedule in advance and anticipate the dentist’s and patient’s needs
• Participate prepared in Morning Huddle
• Support efficient patient flow and communicate important information during handoffs
• Monitor supplies and communicate inventory needs before something runs out
• Provide postoperative instructions and patient education as directed by the dentist

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification or registration as required by state law
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred
• Radiology certification as required
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control protocols
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work efficiently in a productive clinical environment
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail

Experience with four-handed dentistry, expanded functions, digital scanning, dental imaging, practice-management software, or multiple clinical procedures is preferred.

Schedule

Clinical providers work a four-day workweek. Exact scheduled days will be discussed during the interview process.

Clinic patient hours are 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Team members arrive before patient hours prepared for Morning Huddle and the clinical day.
