We are partnering with a leading Private Equity firm seeking to modernize its operations through data, automation, and AI-driven solutions. This is a unique opportunity for a versatile problem-solver who can sit across applications and data, integrate systems, and pioneer the firm’s use of AI technologies particularly ChatGPT and related tools to create tangible business impact.

The role is hands-on, highly exploratory, and focused on “figuring things out” whether that means building a solution directly or identifying where specialist consultants should be brought in. You’ll play a critical role in helping the firm embrace new technologies, streamline operations, and unlock the value of their data.

You will sit between the IT and Data Science team working on both Projects and BAU.

Key Responsibilities

• Work across business applications and data platforms to enable integration, automation, and efficiency.
• Lead projects to centralize and leverage data (e.g., bringing Sage and Allvue data into Snowflake).
• Explore, design, and implement AI-driven use cases, including the use of ChatGPT, to modernize workflows and enhance decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation across the firm’s operations.
• Serve as a bridge between business needs and technology solutions, providing practical guidance on what should be solved internally vs. with external consultants.
• Continuously research and experiment with emerging tools to keep the firm ahead of the curve.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of application and data integration.
• Experience with data platforms (Snowflake preferred) and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Sage, Allvue).
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, APIs, workflow automation).
• Knowledge of and practical experience using AI/LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT) to solve business problems.
• Ability to work in an exploratory, solutions-focused manner, with a high level of autonomy.
• Strong problem-solving mindset—able to evaluate when to build, buy, or bring in external expertise.
