About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Controls Designer to support the design of protection and control systems for FACTS projects, including FSC, SVC, and Synchronous Condenser solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical and controls drawings, schematics, layouts, wiring, grounding, and cable schedules.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Design and update protection and control documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and design teams.
- Support design improvements, cost reduction, and quality initiatives.
- Ensure designs meet applicable project requirements and electrical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2 years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree with 5 years of controls design experience.
- AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Electrical experience.
- Experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Electrical and controls drawing experience.
- Knowledge of standard drafting practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred: MicroStation experience and knowledge of IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, CSA, and NESC standards.
Pay: $48.00 - $53.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
