Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for prospective medical malpractice clients, handling inbound calls with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
- Conduct structured intake interviews to gather essential case information, including:
- Timeline of medical care and events
- Healthcare providers and facilities involved
- Alleged medical errors or deviations from care
- Nature and severity of injuries
- Accurately document and summarize potential cases for attorney and paralegal review
- Identify and appropriately flag high-priority matters, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases
- Maintain complete and accurate records within the firm’s intake and case management systems
- Route matters in accordance with firm criteria and established procedures
- Set clear and realistic expectations with callers regarding next steps and follow-up
- Prior experience in medical, legal, or personal injury intake strongly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and an ability to understand complex clinical scenarios
- Strong interviewing, listening, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize information clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and composure
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in assessing and prioritizing cases
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
- Experience with FineVine is a plus
