What will you do?
- Retrieve storage items and measure, portion, and prepare all sauces, stocks, and soups per chef recipes
- Maintain inventory of par levels for sauces, stocks, and soups as set by management
- Properly label and date all prepped products and maintain food, utensils, and equipment in clean and orderly condition
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties according to guidelines and communicate with the Chef for special instructions or training
- Follow all safety, security, kitchen, and ServSafe procedures and comply with health codes and sanitation regulations
More about you
- Minimum of 2 years of experiences in a fast paced, high volume, Asian kitchen
- Prior food preparation experience and sauce work required; ramen and wok cooking experience is preferred
- Knowledge on how to use commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, skillets, kettles, and stoves
- Must have own kitchen tools such as chef’s knives, paring knife, and peeler
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- High school diploma or GED not required but preferred
Physical requirements
- Frequent standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
- Manual dexterity is sufficient to chop, mix, blend, and whip a variety of foods and liquids
- Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
- Ability to frequently immerse hands in water
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
