A growing national organization is seeking a Vice President & Director of Talent Development to lead enterprise-wide strategies that strengthen leadership capability, enhance workforce performance, and support long-term organizational goals. This senior HR leader will partner closely with executives to shape how talent is assessed, developed, and supported across the company while leading a team responsible for key development and performance programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategy and execution of talent development, leadership programs, performance management, and succession planning
- Manage and develop a large team of L&D and talent professionals, including future team expansion
- Partner with senior leaders to identify development needs and build scalable programs that support organizational growth
- Oversee engagement and capability-building initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Evaluate and enhance existing development programs; recommend improvements and new solutions
- Manage budgets, learning tools, and resources for effective program delivery
- Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Chief People Officer and HR leadership team
Qualifications:
- 10 years minimum of experience in talent development, L&D, or organizational development
- Previous experience managing a team of 5 or more HR professionals
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-level development teams
- Strong communication and influencing skills with executive-level stakeholders
- Ability to design and implement large-scale development strategies
- Experience with performance and leadership development programs required
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Ability to be in-office 100% of the time and travel occasionally
Salary : $185,000 - $200,000
