Senior Tax Accountant
The Senior Tax Accountant supports the Tax Director in managing income tax compliance and related processes across multiple entities. This role is responsible for preparing and coordinating tax filings, managing indirect taxes, supporting audits, and assisting with tax planning initiatives at the local, state, and federal levels.
Responsibilities
• Manage income tax compliance activities, including quarterly estimates, state apportionments, annual returns, tax accruals, and coordination with external tax advisors
• Oversee indirect taxes, including excise, sales and use, franchise, and other business-related taxes; ensure accurate filings, payments, and audit support
• Review and maintain tax exemption documentation and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and internal policies
• Research and assist with the implementation of available tax credits and incentives for existing and new facilities
• Support property-related tax compliance, including real estate and personal property taxes, assessments, payments, and appeals
• Review fixed asset transactions for proper tax treatment and accruals
• Assist with special projects and other tax-related initiatives as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Accounting or Tax preferred
• Corporate tax or public accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi-state tax concepts
• Advanced Excel skills
• Highly organized with strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
• CPA preferred
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
