Position: Tax Accountant
Compensation: $ 80,000 - $ 90,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Lenexa, Kansas

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and timely
- Respond to jurisdictional inquiries and resolve correspondence
- Advise management on compliance with tax regulations
- Perform tax account reconciliations and resolve exceptions
- Assist with tax audits with minimal disruptions
- Prepare income tax apportionment and provision work papers
- Support branch operations with excellent customer service
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in accounting or relevant experience
- Experience with sales and use tax compliance in multistate environments
- Ability to interpret tax requirements for a jurisdiction
- Proficiency in Microsoft AX, CCH-Sales Tax Office, and Microsoft D365
- Strong personal computer skills, including Excel and Word
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Federal, State, Income, and Franchise Tax
- Previous tax research experience (CCH, BNA, RIA)
- Familiarity with Thompson Reuters Determination
