Tax Accountant

Position: Tax Accountant

Compensation: $65,000 - $82,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Lenexa, Kansas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Tax Accountant to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity to join a growing tax team supporting a wide range of corporate compliance and research work. The position offers exposure to sales and use tax, income tax, and property tax filings, along with the chance to work on process improvements and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare sales, use, income, and property tax returns.
• Analyze transactions to determine correct tax treatment.
• Communicate with tax jurisdictions and resolve inquiries.
• Assist with audits, reconciliations, and exception resolution.
• Support branch operations with tax-related customer service.
• Conduct tax research to support compliance and business needs.
• Participate in team trainings and continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 2-4 years of tax accounting experience.
• Multistate tax compliance experience.
• Experience with sales and use tax, income tax, or franchise tax.
• Degree in accounting, tax, or data analytics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience in public accounting or a large regional firm.
• Background in indirect tax compliance.
• Exposure to Alteryx or workflow optimization tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Familiarity with CCH AnswerConnect.
• Experience with OneSource RS Express or Determination.
• Exposure to Microsoft D365 or PowerBI.
