Senior Accountant
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial information. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
- Support tax compliance by preparing schedules and documentation for audits and filings.
- Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are properly balanced.
- Provide guidance and support for accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and participate in system or workflow improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger structure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
